The Louisiana Hayride was a live weekly radio broadcast from the Municipal Auditorium in Shreveport, Louisiana from 1948-1960 on KWKH. With a nationwide reach it was arguably the most influential music broadcast in 1950's America merging country music, rockabilly and rock n roll - the show that turned Hank Williams, Kitty Wells and Elvis into superstars.

The Hayride was also the 'breeding ground' for a number of future country stars such as Shreveport locals Webb Pierce, Faron Young, Johnny Horton, Jim Reeves and other regulars who built their careers on Hayride appearances such as George Jones, Johnny Cash, Cark Perkins, Hank Thompson, June Carter, Patsy Cline, Lefty Frizzell, Bob Wills, and Ernest Tubb.

The 'Louisiana Hayride Rides Again' is our tribute to this great period of American Country Music History where we take you through a night on the Hayride and through some of the pretty amazing personal stories that connect us to the Hayride.

The show is presented by Louisiana native Bryen Willems and the Hayride Ramblers made up of Michelle Little, Glenn Skarratt, Gary Brown, Al Tomkins, Steve Gunning, and John Lee.
