A star studded line up of performers will feature on stage in Toyota Park at next month’s 2015 Toyota Country Music Festival Tamworth.
The multi-award winning Kasey Chambers and Lee Kernaghan will headline more than a week of fabulous day and night concerts, with additional entertainment throughout the week just announced.
All live and free, the opening concert and fireworks will take place in the Park on Friday 16 January from 7:00pm. And what a way to kick off, with talented songstress Kasey Chambers joined on stage by Nashville stars Jerry Salley & Kirsty Cox, Harry Hookey, 2014 Toyota Star Maker Jared Porter and The Hillbilly Goats – winners of the popular public vote as part of a recent “Load & Launch” talent search Facebook competition.
The 2015 Festival will showcase more activities and entertainment in the park than ever before, with live stage performances from 10am through to 5pm each day, and concert events at night.
Festival Director John Sommerlad said, "A lot of hard work has gone into providing fans with a wide variety of artists and entertainment in Toyota Park.”
"The concerts are free, there have never been so many artists...and we have shows day and night for the entire Toyota Country Music Festival Tamworth."
On Sunday night, 18 January, a new concert event on the Festival program, ‘Unwrapped’ will feature some of the best up and coming young country talent, including X Factor finalist Caitlyn Shadbolt, former The Voice contestant Taila Gouge, Karrie Hayward and Josh Needs.
Local country music artist Jodie Crosby will MC the Tamworth Proud Concert on Monday 19 January featuring a line up of Tamworth’s best talent including Lindsay Butler, Shazza Leigh, Peggy Gilchrist, Boltoncrook and Lawrie and Shelley Minson, while the line-up on the night of Tuesday 20 January will include some surprise international artists.
The following morning (21 January) the park will host The Bushwackers’ Bush Dance, and in the evening the stage will feature artists such as the superb Anne Kirkpatrick, who will join Dianne Lindsay on stage, along with a huge line up of more than 40 performers at the ‘Back to the Bush’ Bush Balladeers Concert.
Festival favourites Mustered Courage will be playing in the Americana in the Park concert, on Thursday night (22 January), together with Jenny Queen, Marlon Williams and headliner The Whiskey Drop.
Lee Kernaghan will be back to headline the Toyota Concert for Rural Australia on Friday 23 January, with performances by Jared Porter and three Toyota Star Maker grand finalists.
The top voted buskers, who have lined Peel Street for the Festival, headline the Best of the Buskers Concert on Saturday 24 January.
Closing out a huge 10 day program on Sunday 25 January, Christie Lamb, Little Bastard and the Adam Eckersley Band along with a surprise headline act, still to be announced, will put the finishing touches on what will be another giant Tamworth Festival.
Festival fans can put one of Toyota’s legendary four wheel drives to the test at the purpose-built LANDCRUISER COUNTRY 4WD EXPERIENCE throughout the Festival. Hosted by motorsport legend Rick Bates, visitors can drive the best that Toyota has to offer on the track.
The 10-day Country Music Festival is the biggest music event in the country, and lauded as one of the top music festivals in the world.
The Toyota Country Music Festival Tamworth 2015 will be held from Friday 16 to Sunday 25 January. It is proudly supported by the NSW Government through its tourism and major events agency Destination NSW.
