Always carrying a guitar in one hand, a notebook in the other, wearing brown boots and a smile from ear to ear, Emily Joy is a breath of fresh air set to take Australian Country Music by storm.
Emily Joy is heading straight to the top in becoming one of Australia’s most fresh and inspiring singer songwriters. With three prestigious qualifications under her belt from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, Berklee College of Contemporary Music (Boston, US), and Australian Academy of Country Music (Tamworth), Emily Joy is taking country pop/rock music to a whole new level. Inspired by the story telling of Taylor Swift, and the massive sound palette and vocal hooks of Shania Twain, her music has been described as a combination of the two with a modern twist.
Since 2013, Emily Joy has been capturing the hearts of all listeners with her memorable melodies and powerful and relatable songwriting. In 2015 she joined with Perth’s dynamic duo The Gallagher brothers to form the Emily Joy Trio. She has been seen on stages all over Australia such as The Astor, Geoff Gibbs Theatre, The Paddington Ale House, The Ellington Jazz Club, Indi Bar, The Brook Bar and Bistro, Gingin Jive Festival, the Tamworth Country Music Festival and even the renowned Bluebird Café’ in Nashville Tennessee.
Keep an ear out for this country pop rocket, who is planning on releasing her debut EP during 2015.
