Become a Tamworth ambassador and wear your free Tamworth Proud hat with pride for the upcoming 2015 Toyota Country Music Festival Tamworth.

Tamworth Proud Hats are now ready for 2015 and are a hot merchandise item available exclusively for Tamworth residents!

The Tamworth Proud Hat was introduced in 2013 for Tamworth residents as a way of thanking local people for their unwavering support for the Festival.  With thousands of locals wearing the hats during the past two festivals, they acted as ambassadors throughout the 10 days.

The Festival is the largest country music festival in the southern hemisphere and the cornerstone of its success has been the pride and enthusiasm shown by the people of the Tamworth region for the event.

Festival Director John Sommerlad said the hats were back by popular demand.

“We want locals to be proud of Tamworth and ambassadors for the region and the Festival,” he said.

“It was fantastic last year to see so many locals wear the hats with pride throughout the Festival and due to their popularity, we’ve got more to give away this year.”

The free hats will be available to Tamworth residents at Festival HQ (Tamworth Regional Council), Ray Walsh House in Peel Street, during the Festival Countdown period Wednesday 7 January to Thursday 15 January - or until stock runs out.

The free hats are only available via proof of Tamworth residency. Hats can also be collected from Tamworth City Toyota, Armidale Road, during that time too.

The 10-day Toyota Country Music Festival Tamworth festival in January is Australia’s largest music festival, and lauded as one of the top music festivals in the world. For more information about the Festival and to purchase tickets to some of the 4,000 gigs, visit www.tcmf.com.au.
