In one of the earliest announcements ever made by Toyota Country Music Festival HQ, we are excited to confirm the first of our 750 different acts will include Lee Kernaghan, Beccy Cole, The McClymonts, Luke O'Shea, Troy Cassar-Daley, Amber Lawrence, Adam Eckersley Band, Catherine Britt and Mustered Courage.
We know it is only August, but we just couldn't wait to let you know that these artists, plus many more, have already confirmed they will be performing in Tamworth during the 2016 Toyota Country Music Festival in January.
As the pinnacle event on the Australian Country Music calendar and one of the world's top ten Festivals, the Toyota Country Music Festival never disappoints and 2016 will be no exception.
In 'True Blue' style, the Festival will kick off in Tamworth on 15 January 2016 and already boasts an unmatched lineup of the best in Australian Country Music including John Williamson who has been confirmed to headline the free opening concert.
2016 will be an exciting year for Williamson who will be celebrating his 50th album together with his 70th birthday.
“Opening the 2016 Festival is a fitting way to celebrate this achievement” said Tamworth Country Music Unit Manager, Barry Harley earlier today.
“With 26 Golden Guitars and three ARIA awards John is certainly one of Australia's most respected Country Music artists and his performance will be one that's not to be missed” he added.
Our second huge announcement, including details of our launch event, is currently underway so watch this space and follow us on social to be sure you don't miss out.
